Default When Is The Best Time To 'post' On Fan Pages

Hello All

I would be interested in seeing if you have found a best time to post on your Fan Page.

I find that my mid-week post will tend to get more response and perform better. I also find that morning posts certainly perform 100% better than posts in the afternoon and evening.

Is this the same for other businesses using Facebook Fan Pages?

Loads of people log on early in the morning and also during lunch breaks. Just a little food for thought....

10 years and running....still the most-loved promotional product!

I have never considered this, but it's true. More people log on in the morning before work and are more likely to see your post

Default Best Times for Posting

Hi All!

The best time to "tweet" on Twitter is definitely late morning/early afternoon M-F. These are peak tweeting hours because people in the workplace will periodically check the updates since its fairly quick to do.

As far as Facebook pages, you definitely do not need to post as often as Twitter. Aim for a few posts a day (3-5) in the early morning or late afternoon. People like checking Facebook right when they wake up and before leaving work for the day. Its also sometimes wise to post at night, as many go online when they are bored before bed.

Hope this helps!

I think you should follow the same strategy in this respect what actually the electronic media does. Itíll be quite fruitful for you to get amazing outcomes.

On my facebook page I've found it best to post Monday morning. I get the most activity.

Yep, Monday morning is the time when people are not so ready to work yet, after the weekend and are ready to discuss some trifles instead

That's a really smart question, but I think the answer is that it totally depends on your market. If you're a toy store, it's probably right after school lets out. If you're deli maybe it's right after lunch. After you think it through and pick a few likely times, just go ahead and test them all in a controlled way. After that, maybe you can segment your traffic... sticking with the deli example, you could figure out if the lunch and dinner crowds are different types of people and maybe what messaging works best with each.

I would say the best time to post is early morning and late afternoon. People usually log in on their facebook account first thing in the morning and then they will check on their messages and updates before they go to bed. Just a thought.

I agree with Candice, it depends on a number of things. Aside from what product you are selling, you also have to know your fan base. You could have fans from different cities where there is a small time difference, and you can have fans from different parts of the world where its a much larger time gap. It is best to experiment on your own by trying out posting at different intervals, and seeing what gives you the biggest response.
