“Web Usability is an approach to make web sites easy to use for an end-user, without requiring her (or him) to undergo any specialized training. The user should be able to intuitively relate the actions he needs to perform on the web page, with other interactions he sees in the general domain of life e.g. press of a button leads to some action.”

Might be kind of like a cliche in the internet age but it is so IMPORTANT. Nice article. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rojae Braga,

I agree... nice article. But believe it or not, a lot of the small business owners I talk to still don't get the 'usability' aspect.

I explain it by telling them about a house I lived in where there was one (what we called) 'funky' door knob. You know, the one that you had to twist and push at the same time. Everyone in the house knew exactly how to use it. But as soon as you had a visitor... oops! You had to open that door for them.

Same thing on a website. You know how to navigate it... but can that visitor who just got there navigate? Sort of puts the story in terms they can understand.

Good luck!
