Default Call Recording Software

Can anyone guide me in regards to being able to record my conversations with clients. I am looking for software where I can record a call on both sides, and save for as long as I need/want.

I use Windows 7 Professional and it is just for 2 lines. Thanks.

I don't have any software recommendations, but I do have a legal one: be sure everyone knows you're recording the call before you turn the recording on. Different states have different rules about when it's legal to record a conversation and when it's not... in some places it's OK as long as one party to the conversation knows, while in others it requires the consent of all parties, and may require you state how the recording is going to be used, otherwise the act of recording is illegal. Even if you only want to use the recording to make sure you have an accurate record of what the client asked you to do so that you can give them better service, you can still get in trouble if you don't get the client's OK before you start recording and they live in one of those areas.

That's why, when you call some customers service lines, you get that announcement about how your call "may be recorded for training purposes."

I'm aware if the legalities, but I do appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Yeah, I figured you were. But others may come along later and read this thread who aren't aware. I wouldn't want a recommendation from this forum to be partially responsible for helping somebody get themselves into trouble.

You can try Record Retrieve...it's a cloud-based service so you don't need to install any software, you just signup, get one of the recording numbers and away you go... could be worth a try... http:www.recordretrieve.com.au
