SEO and PPC are different entities. These two terms have no relation in them.

Both are different. Startup companies can go for SEO, because it is free cost to promote your brand easily. where as PPC can be suited for enterprise companies.

Pay per click (PPC), also called cost per click, is an internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which advertisers pay the publisher (typically a website owner or a host of website) when the ad is clicked. It is defined simply as “the amount spent to get an advertisement clicked.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results.

If you analyze both of the definitions you can see that PPC and SEO are two different things.

The SEO and PPC are two different marketing methods. What the traffic come from PPC is paid as the name implies but traffic gets from SEO is free. It is good for SEO but it is paid and when you pay high cost then your site gets higher ranking on search page but in SEO you get the higher ranking if your site is optimized for search engine.

Default $7.5 BILLION FRAUD IN CPC (Cost per Click)

Pay per click will get people to your site. However a scandal has been uncovered that shows $7.5 billion fraudulent clicks have been made.

Essentially: If you have an online display ad budget of $100,000, then only $8,000 of that ad spend has the chance to put advertisements in front of human eyeballs. (And that's not even taking into account the poor clickthrough rates of display ads when people do see them.)

Default SEO not Related To PPC?

I manage a lot of clients, and I can tell you clearly there is a coorelation but as they say, coorelation does not causation.

The main thing reason why this is happening is because Google's search ranking algorythm is heavily moving to enagement metrics due to the super cookies they have dropped on mostly everyones browsers already tracking most of what you do on the internet.

By running highly relevant PPC campaigns on the exact key phrases of what you do/offer, you are showing to Google that you are relevant for these things, and will be building a lot of enagement, sharing, and other helpful metrics that will please these parts of Googles algorythm. Finally, the repeat traffic that comes into Google related to your brand names that result from PPC discovery will REALLY show to Google how relevant you are will heavily affect your rankings over time.

So yes, but not directly. If you are focused on SEO alone in 2016 and not PPC, frankly either you are completly broke as a company or misinformed about how things work nowadays.

PPC has no impact on SEO as both have different mechanism. PPC is the paid way and SEO is organic way. So for SEO you need to optimize the header tags, meta tags and for PPC you need to optimize the bids and budget.
