Default New Ebay Affiliate Prgram If You Don't Want To Sell Your Own Products

Hi guys,
Thought i'd share this with everyone who likes ebay but do not want to have the hassle of selling their own products or dropshipping...or whatever reasons...

Ebay launched their own affiliate program on April 1st and is now running their program inhouse. They used to run it via CJ but now is running it on their own.
This means that website owners can now apply as an affiliate and generate sales for ebay at a commission when some one buys from them through your site.

I had just done up a page on this and thought this will give you an idea if you are running your own website with no products to sell.

**I removed the link as i do not want to break forum rules ...but it should give you an idea****

The widget is country specific and you may want to evaluate your site traffics before deciding which country you want to target...

I would love to hear from any one who has experience from generating revenue through this method.

cheers
TP

Thanks for the heads-up but i was a little surprised that i could not search your site for a specific item found on the ebay page. I am going to give it a try anyways.

Default Do you mean searching for ebay items on my own site?

HI Viper,
Just to clarify if you are refering to using my own google site search to search for specific ebay listing items or otherwise?

thanks

When i go to your site and do a search for that site - ebay's articles don't rank in that search. Because they aren't content found on the site. (ebay links don't produce a topic search)

So, somebody visiting your site would have to switch to the ebay page to find the links. That may not interest them at all. But, if ebay links were searchable they might click one out of an impulsive moment.

Interesting post.

I've noticed that their approval system on the eBay affiliate program is a little bit strange. I'm an eBay PowerSeller and yet they wouldn't accept me as an affiliate. When I e-mailed eBay to ask them why, they didn't have a response except that they would not accept me into the program. I know that there are other good standing members of eBay who have not been approved for the program without any reason. It seems as though they pick and choose who to approve and who not to approve. Seems a bit strange to me.
