Yes, you can make many blogs and link them to one another. You may encounter a duplicate content penalty from Google if they share identical content, though. If each blog has unique content and also has back links from different places on the web they should do Okay.

I think a more general practice would be building many blogs on different IPs with different contents but all have backlinks to your main site in posts.

Have a nice day,

Sure. Of course, simply making each blog and letting it sit there isn't going to help much, if at all.

You're better off creating a set of Web 2.0 properties and then having your new dummy blogs linking to them....then the Web 2.0 property links to your site.

No, you will not get penalty for the similar Title and URL. However, considering the way you are asking I presume you would like to boost the google ranking for those blogs (or maybe one certain blog). There are still 2 issues you should take into account

There are many webmasters who made many blogs and linked with each other to increase backlinks and no. of visitors. so you also create many blogs. Even remember don't use same content on all blogs.

Thanks
Franky

Webpages that link to each other don't get as much 'juice' than if they were one way links.

Like was mentioned, make multiple blogs point to one main blog for best results.

Default Is that not blog farming?

I was under the impression that having several blogs just for the use of creating backlinks was frowned upon by Google. Is that not the case? I just know that Google's relentless pursuit of providing the best results will one day root out any type of blog farming.

I have also heard people refer to it like steroids in baseball, its not really cheating because everyone else is doing it.

Thoughts???
