To be honest, I've noticed that how well a company's website uses SEO techniques is a pretty good way to evaluate their ability. You should judge them based on their ability to rank for their own keywords, if you can determine what they are. If they're still using keywords meta tags on their website....C'mon now, no major search engines use that data anymore. Interestingly enough, how good their website looks is also a pretty reliable factor that reflects the quality of service they'll end up providing.

Very often we get confused when we have to select a SEO Company, it is one of the pillar of business, your branding, acquiring new customers, to make your reach to really needed, assisting you for getting possible new clients and if you are doing some mistake then to guide you all is done by SEO Companies.

I have seen a lots who just talk about - O.K I ll rank your x number of keywords, well I will give you that number of visits on your website, but do you think is it really useful?
As a SEO your prime duty is to make visible right information or right stuff to really needy person, to suggest your clients if they are making some mistakes in choosing keywords(does any such keyword is really fruitful which has not search volume).
In now a days search engines are acting in a manner as if an end user desire a result.
So I would suggest go with such company who can understand your needs, which is able to give your visibility within right people who are really seeking for that.(What will I do of a T shirt if I am looking for pizza?)

This can be a plus point to find reputable SEO company but one more thing I need to add is reviews of those companies among reviews sites.

I would certainly talk to people who have had websites worked on and try to pick up on some word of mouth. Some web developers will also refer you to SEO practitioners - this could be helpful (or even misleading).

That is a good thought but the SEO firms are spending more time on getting their clients ranked than spending the time to rank them selves.

Absolutely spot on!

I get calls from overseas SEO companies trying to sell me their services all the time (confused face) then I check their website and it's a mish mash of rubbish, linked to a gmail or yahoo email account with no proper hosting.

The real goal of a SEO company should be improve organic visits to the client's site and subsequently getting more leads and sales. Not to rank keyword x or keyword y.

I've been in the SEO business for almost 15 years and I still see this misconception.

Default SEO Company

When choosing SEO Company, First check how the company is trust able, how to provide services, quality, quantity and result oriented, etc. all the factors are important. How many projects completed successfully and in time is most important. thanks for sharing your views, keep it up.
