As many have said ensure you get them naturally 1 good link is going to stay with you for a long time however 500 bad could hurt or you could find that google changes the algorithm and you then drop.

Itís not what you get in the short term but the long term. That way when you get to the top it's easier to stay there.

Agree with you! Now hummingbird has been came out. They are now more emphasizing on content. So as you said we can create more links if it is relevant to the content and also unique and fresh.

SEO since hummingbird is all about the slow build of momentum caused by genuine authority and relevance.

Post unique handwritten stuff you did yourself onto a targeted niche blog and it will rank over time.

What I try to do is just get involved in my 3 different forums in an engaging way. That way, I don't burn out or lose the momentum. I try to think of it as just a neat way to blow of some steam and see what others are doing while taking a quick break from my work day.

Good Luck

just ensure that you make GOOD posts and get GOOD links, and any limit probably wont matter.

Content and earning backlinks has been the ways of SEO for some time now. As long as you've been doing that, you should be fine.

There is no particular number in generating backlinks per day. This can be any number as long as you not involve in black hat SEO in building backlink techniques. Just try to build quality backlinks from trusted websites.

Agree with you. Last time I checked, search engines loved it natural. By natural here I mean a jagged low volume graph - a realistic one (5 links today, 2 the following day, none for the next 4 days, 6 after that and so on) - as opposed to a synthetic or straight line graph. If it's a topic that's suddenly trending, then it's reasonable to have thousands of shares, links, tweets, likes, pins and so on springing up in a day. However, if there's no clear reason for the sudden surge in activity then Google is most likely going to interpret this as spam.

There's no fixed number on how many links you can get in a day. If there was, then people are likely to find a way to beat the system and this is exactly what Google doesn't want to happen.

The most crucial aspect is getting good quality backlinks through authoritative websites. Quality is more important than quantity when it comes to getting backlinks.

Content has been very important for some time now. And each new update will probably focus more and more on content.
