Smile Review Cratima And XcellenceIT Site Please.

Hello.

I need some of your reviews on my Cratima and XcellenceIT web sites at my signature, as we are going to take a decision regarding the possibility of changing or completely removing one of them.

We like the flash better but we have some problems with the SEO for this one.

At this moment we are decided to keep Cratima over XcellenceIT, but we need some objective points of view.

Thanks!

I like the flow of the cratima also, but the pure flash is something that I wouldn't go with because seo is so important. Could you take the ideas, themes of the cratima and work the flash elements into an html site that would do well in the engines. The other option would be to live with the limitations of flash, or try to optimize the flash ... but that would still be far from my choice.

I think the navigation in the cratima site could be clearer to the visitor. .... "mystery meat" ... when a user has to click on something to find out what it is ... equals poor navigation to me.

Smile HTML vs Flash

Sorry for the late response!

The thing is that I don't know very well when,
I hope soon, a HTML version of Cratima web site
will be online.

We have the sources for about a year now, but we are
not very pleasant with the result, and we are making
some changes.

I promise you will be the first to know and hope I'll get
more reviews (that means more than 1 ) )

Thanks!

I clicked on cratima.com and I saw this clock ticking, ticking, ticking and I saw the text - It's deadlin, It's done. ANd I saw the clock ticking and so on so I clicked and nothing opened.

Then I tried again and it opened. But I had to click in the gray area and then I had to click on the clock. Even if I didn't have to actually "click" on the gray area first and I could have just clicked on the clock.....but I didn't know that and got kinda frustrated.........

Personally, I don't think a person should have to click again to enter a site. Now this is my own opinion, but once at the destination the visitor has required (your site) they should be there. All options should be available, clicking to enter at this point only rubs me the wrong way.

Now web developers (not those who are looking for your service) are impressed with flash. Actually I don't even know what flash is, but I know this.........it's usually only cool to those who created it.

To me it's like going on vacation, once there you don't want to have to go somewhere else to go on vacation.

Smile Feedback appreciated

Thanks for the feedback 'mktgbiz'!

As I said we are going to put a html version of the
web site. The reason for doing this is the conclusion
we've drought out from the opinions of many members
of this forum, in different threads.

The thing is that many of our customers are very impressed
by our flash web site.

The clicking can be removed by the user.

The thing that we have two clocks is that we have
Cratima Interactive and Cratima Software, two separate
divisions, and we had to separate them into these two sections.

"It's deadline, It's done" is our motto, and that's why we've choose
the clocks.

About the content - once you've enlarged one clock (section) -
you can find everything you like and everything you are looking
for.
You can be sure about a thing: it is not SEO friendly
( another important thing that I've found about with the help
of many members here )

Is there something you were looking for and haven't got to it?

Thanks again!

It's deadline, it's done. What does that mean ? I am feeling something may have been lost in a translation? Is your target american users?

I agree with Logan! Yes, I get your point. I know your idea. But SEO is very important so you have to keep working on it. Good luck! Update us please.

cremeta has a cool flash intro, although its not too user friendly. When I first got to the site I sat there and was like...uh what do I do now?

So to that homepage I would make it more obvious that I am suppose to click through.

Cool flash though, really cool...but I don't know if it will help you sell your service.

Our target for the EN version of the website is for the people that speak English (not only Americans)

This is what I've found on Wikipedia in English :

" Deadline can refer to:
  • A deadline is a boundary where a person may cross only at the risk of death. Derived from prison systems, wherein if a prisoner escaped the deadline boundary he was to be shot down. An example of a prison deadline was used at Andersonville Prison Camp during the American Civil War
  • A deadline may also mean a time limit for e.g. a software project."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadline - it is edited by common users so I think that this is the common knowledge about this term.

This second meaning can be found also in our English-Romanian dictionary.
I'll look up " deadline" in Oxford and Cambridge dictionaries.

Thanks for your reviews, care and advices !

Hi Cratima, I do understand where you are going but the problem is in the syntax of the phrasing. We don't say "It's deadline". We may say we have to "meet a deadline" or that we "have a deadline".

"It" is a pronoun that has to point to a subject. In your case the subject is the deadline. Deadlines are not referred to as "done" They can be "met", "overcome", "passed". Its just a minor issue but if your clientele is American it may be best to use a more common but still catchy phrase. Actually, to keep as true to your concept as possible you may be able to say:
"Deadline? It's done."
While this is still a bit vague, it makes a bit more sense in the context of English because it leaves the object of the pronoun in question. It makes people ask "what's done? Oh you mean this company can help me meet my deadline? Let me read some more"

Now that I read that back I know it may make no sense to you but maybe someone else can jump in and explain better?
