Twitter is the best One in my opinion. I use it a lot. It helps me to get instant visits to my site.

All these site are pretty good, also you can use digg, stumbleupon, mixx, misterwrong redit and many other sites are available. search Google for the list.

Do you actually think that Facebook helps with ranking? I don't even think that Google indexes any content other than the URL on Facebook.

@ Portal No I don't think it does, but social media sites purpose is to give direct promotion / leads on your product and service. If you want to increase your ranking you should use SEO techniques.

I still don't get how Twitter can be useful to a small business. Won't having a Facebook page make it redundant?

Shopping Cart Software without the expensive price tag.
Ecommerce Website Software for easier online transactions.

I also think it depends on the industry. If you are in the retail business, I think having & managing the FB and Twitter could help a lot. And some people I know still chose one over the other SM. I think it would be smart to cover both.
