For B2B, Twitter is the best and Facebook is better for B2C.

Hi! Our site TemplateBowl, just launched last week and I can say that we are generating more leads in twitter than in Facebook. What do you think will help us promote our site more effectively?

I absolutely agree with you on what you think about blogs, Because I think it is the only Off page task that is effective in the post penguin world. It generate quality back links and you can promote in on social media.

Use social media and classifieds to promote free-bees.

A local sign shop uses online networks to promote that they design business cards and simple flyers for free. It's a whopping 5 minutes per design, they use free tools to auto generate the work.

The big picture is that the Shop is getting hundreds of leads just because they offer a free service. The shop needs their info to make a card, they direct people to a single webpage with a form. Now the shop has all the information about the prospect. The shop creates the card, emails the file, attaches an offer to have 300 printed and shipped for free if they order 500 or more. Maybe the prospect doesn't buy anything at all. That's fine. It's more than likely that the prospect will remember you and advertise your great offer though. I would say 5 minutes is well worth the opportunity to have prospects willingly advertise for you.

WeLikeDeals.com - Post your coupons, promote locally for free.

I agree with the above. The better it is advertised, the more customers you get.

Social bookmarking services promote discovery of new and popular content. While not all content you would submit would necessarily be popular to everyone, if you tag and describe it to your target audience, it may resonate well and rise in popularity in those social circles. StumbleUpon is a service that helps people discover new and popular websites;. Digg works similarly where people submit articles for the court of public opinion to rank it higher. Delicious works by categorizing links and allowing new sites to earn a spike of traffic and interest.
