Default Wholesale & Sales Rep Questions

Can you guys give me advice on this? I have some stores that wish to do wholesale business with me. On my catalog should i list the wholesale & suggested retail price, or just the wholesale price? Second, if i search for sales reps, what is the percentage that they receive and how is this done, do they get paid after they sell the items, and who sets the percentage rate for their pay me or them? Thank you

I guess seeing both the wholesale and suggested retail can give the impression that one is saving money. The downside would be if the stores that do business with you wanted to inflate prices beyond the suggested retail and their customers were somehow able to identify the product back to you and your site.

Can't answer your question on sales reps as we do not have any, at least the type that work on percentages or commissions.

BeckBurks,

I have done sales before for years. You set the price on the commision you want to give your salespeople and that price depends on your profit and if that sales person will make enough from you to keep working for you. I have worked for a third, a fourth and even half on different sales from wedding dresses to merchant accounts. I usually got paid after my employer got the money for the sale or you can pay the salesperson the commision before you get the money and if the sale falls through then you decommision them. You can call different companies and talk to the managers and see how they worked commision. This has been my experience, I hope it helps some.
