Default Link Exchange Benefits

Link exchange is a tool used in direct marketing. It raises PageRank making your websites positioned higher on the search results of Google and also Link Exchange Benefits gain you link from almost identical sites and identifies sites linked to your rival sites.

Link Exchange Benefits include its cost-effectiveness, efficiency and the added advantage of avoiding the burden of advertising expenses. Both outward, as well as inward links must be from pertinent websites of quality. Creating and sustaining your own links page is part of Link exchange benefits. What is the question? Exchanging links (you link to me - I link to you) is not so effective anymore.I would not like to have my blog as a link farm with page rank leaking everywhere. There are better ways to do linking, like forums and blog commenting.

For executing this task effectively, you can visit some websites such as Linkmarket.com where numerous websites listed themselves for exchanging links with each other. Just contact with them and the rest of the thing is very simple.

Exchanging links is just as effective as it's ever been.

Which is to say that trading links with low-quality, low-traffic pages isn't going to do much for you, while a link exchange with a useful, high-quality site that already attracts visitors who are members of your target market can bring great benefit both in terms of improved search rankings and in terms of direct traffic.

It's not so much a matter of being "efficient," because it's not a "quantity" game. Your focus should always be on the quality of the site or page with which you're requesting a link exchange. Don't be afraid to take a bit of time researching and seeking out quality sites. You'll get much better results in the long run from a few links coming from valuable, well-regarded sites than a ton of links from low-value "knockoff," spammy or scraper sites, for instance.

So your technique is simply to find other sites (through various means) that you think would be interesting or useful to your visitors. Link to them. Find other sites you believe are visited by your target audience. Request links from them. If it turns out a site you link to is also one from which you request a link, that's fine. Nothing to get excited over, but nothing to worry about, either.

Generally speaking, you can't be hurt by links pointing to your pages (because the SEs know you can't control who links to you), but you can indeed be hurt by linking out to large numbers of low-quality or "bad neighborhood" pages. So you want to be careful about who you link to. Don't link to another site just because they ask you to -- take at least a few minutes to visit their site and check it out before you agree to link to it.

Oh, and technically a "link farm" is a scheme in which many sites participate, each one being required to link to all the other sites participating in the program. Simply exchanging links one at a time with other good quality sites won't turn you (or them) into a link farm.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing, but there are a lot different points regarding this topic.

You might want to try visiting the help files of Google, Yahoo and see how they've put it.

However, I am curious of you source of information, because some of it is valid.

I always try to go directly to the source of online rules. It helps.

Unfortantely, getting quality site to participate with us is hard go. I guess that somebody's motive is same as ours, that makes things a tad competitive in the game of back linking.

It might be easier to offer an exclusive article to a targeted site that has a link back to yours. Great barter vs. begging for

FYI

I am currently hosting a Clickbank newsletter article on my blog! There are links going back to the author's site in exchange for having his document featured / hosted on my blog page.

You can gain more PR if the reciprocating link has more PR and less link on the page your link would appear. If its the other way around, you lose more PR than what you actually gain.

Links exchange does bring in a good stream of traffic if you partner up with a nihce relevant site.

Well...not exactly.

PageRank gives Google, through some continuous calculation, a quality score. They use it as one, small part of the way they rank pages. We like using the toolbar because it gives us a visual understanding of how Google considers the site from a quality standpoint, not a ranking standpoint.

We know this because pages with low PageRank scores can outrank pages with higher scores. What makes pages rank (mostly) are their inbound links and the total link popualrity they're getting from them.

Link popularity has four parts to it:
  • link quantity
  • link quality (for Google it's known as PageRank)
  • anchor text
  • relevancy

Combined, those four components are what helps a page rank, not PageRank.
