Default Directory Submission

Do you use directory submission for your seo purpose? I have a list of 3000 directories and I use directory submissions for SEO.

What other techniques do you follow?

I personally have been submitting my site to free directories. I have not submitted to any that require reciprocal links and have not paid for any links or directory inclusion at all.

The vast majority of SEO efforts on my end have been on-site and within my site pages' code.

Are your 3,000 directories free?

If a person does not want to go through the time consuming process of submitting their web site into directories themselves, they have two options, one is SEO manual directory submission and the other is automatic directory submission. There are many distinct differences between the two, each with advantages and disadvantages

Fine but time consuming.

I outsource my directory submissions. The process of submitting myself manually is very tedious and the truth is that it brings little search engine optimization effects as compared to other link building methods such as article marketing, blog commenting and link exchanges.

The Directory Submission is still something worthy to get the one way link but we have to be careful in the quality than the quantity we get. I hope the submission in 3000 directories is not necessary go for 1000 submission and meanwhile you can go for Article Submission, Press Release submission and marketing your website through some social networking site, posting some good content in Blog that can bring good traffic in your site.....

Samuel why you think directory submission won't work that well? There are quite a lot of others link building methods as well but they have drawbacks. Directories submission is perhaps the most easy way of getting links but it takes time to approve.

Blog comment is another strategies but it takes time to find out the do follow blogs.

Forum is another form as well but you may be accused as a spammer.

Article directories, not all of them are "dofollows" and you need to write an article as well.

.. So to me, every strategies count, just use them and that's it

Well, directory submission has become more or less obsolete simply because Google has stopped paying attention to them. Instead we should opt for another SEO techniques for getting better result.
