Default Michael Jackson's Death

I know there are some that couldn't care less ... but us Gen Xers will feel the loss in a different way than most I suppose. His musical presence shaped us, did it not?

Anyway, I'm a dyed in the wool Michael Jackson fan, so I'm taking the liberty of sharing my thoughts on his passing here ...

Hi Karri,
You are not alone, I grew up when Michael Jackson was hot. Before things with him got weird.
He made a great impact on music and especially the disco era.

He was a heck of an entertainer, that's for sure. I still enjoy watching his music videos on Youtube - I used to enjoy seeing them on MTV back in the day (when MTV played music videos).

I feel the loss too, so sad. And so young.

He was the first musician that I was really aware of when I was a young teenager. I remember reading all those teen magazines where he talked about how sad and lonely he felt in his life.

I was watching one of the specials on his life last night. From what those interviewed said, I guess those feelings never went away for him.

One thing, though, now that he has passed, I find I'm able to appreciate his old music again, without thinking of all the difficulties he's had in the past several years. He really was a fantastic musician and performer.
