Well, that's the whole point of the article. Many web designers simply don't care about SEO. Not all, but many.

I like the article. There's a business idea - designers who DO care about SEO

I think if you have the basics elemant of SEO covered you should be fine. The most important thing is to have qulity content that can be indexed by search engines. Have relevant KW to you website.

The most important thing is to have quality, relevant content that's refreshed regularly. If you do that consistently, the inbound links will usually take care of themselves.

Great posts, we have great programmers. I am very satisfied with them but my only wish was that while they were building our website they should have told us to start learning about SEO as well as suggestions more ways to optimize your website. But still overrall I love our programmers.

It is wrong for a web designer to create a site that isn't "search engine friendly" and I would never do that, but ongoing SEO is a separate business. I don't think you can expect the average web designer to have the level of analytical skills and online marketing knowledge as someone who specializes in SEO.
This is why developers were created.

An effective website needs both designers and developers.

I am on the opposite side. I've done some web design, but my main focus is search engine optimization. Doing on site SEO is not that difficult. Just make sure you decide on your main keyword phrases and then use those exact phrases in your title and description tags.

Then you try and build as many links to your site as possible. The anchor text in those links must be the exact same keyword phrase in your title tags (in order to rank well).

Google views relevant links as votes to your site. Good content and lots of votes will definitely help your rankings.

This thread is slowly coasting to the SEO forum Don't agree. Building an unnatural linking profile (all links having the same text) can't possibly help with Google trust. It's short-term results v. long-term.

Default SEO - The Most Effective Form Of Advertising

The concept of viral marketing is not a new idea. In fact itís an old idea made new again by the internet. Word-of-Mouth advertising has been recognized as a worthwhile tool for many years among savvy online marketers through the use of simple Tell-A-Friend scripts.
