I made $10 last month, my earns keep going up from $1, $3.40, $5.93, $9.80 after a few months at the beginning of less than one dollar (nearly a year).

So I guess I am a Problogger, I am getting there, it is such a matter of quality content and having hits per day. My best blog, on alcoholism, gets around 100 per day.

Keep blogging, and sharing your views.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on here for a while to check up on the responses. In fact, thank you for sharing your experiences, I really appreciate it. I do believe that some of us truly dream to be pro-bloggers one day, and it definitely takes a lot of effort.

I actually quit my job soon after I started this thread, and I have been freelancing ever since. It's not easy, but it certainly gets easier (last year was financial hell for me though, after some consecutive idiotic/careless expenditures). But things are picking up this year.

I have not given up on blogging. Recently, I've turned some of my domains into blogs and I now have about 10 blogs, 8 of which are very new.

The older ones are earning just a bit, but the best thing is that the visitors remain constant even if I do not update (I make sure I update it at least monthly). But my offline freelancing work and other site developments take time away from blogging.

I think it's normal to sometimes want to take a break from blogging, esp. if you lack the inspiration to come up with an interesting title or story. But I believe a blogger is generally someone who enjoys sharing his/her opinion and knowledge to readers online. So there's a difference between wanting to take a break from it once in a while, and actually wanting to take an indefinite break and try to find something else.

Blogging on a personal level or do you have a target audience? A great way to start is to find a theme that you can build on.

I totally agree with Ted GWL. Johnchow was once earning $40K from the blog johnchow.com but now he is not.

Even problogger.net earning has dropped. So earning from a single blog is not stable. Diversification is the key.

How many blogs would one need to maintain a stable income of $24,000 a year.

It depends on several factors. For example

Niche
Monetization methods available in the Niche
Traffic/day
etc...

However if you put some real efforts by starting a quality blog then you can easily make $24k/year from a single blog.
