Simon Lockyer BSc – Director & CEO of YOUNGCARE

Simon Lockyer formed Youngcare in 2005, with three Brisbane mates, David Conry, Matthew Lawson and Nicholas Bonifant. With the purpose of providing a dignified and relevant lifestyle for young people with high care needs, creating public awareness of what the broader problem is and addressing it.
Simon brings to Youngcare a strong commercial and not for profit background. Simon has 13 years Advertising, Marketing and Management experience. From 2003 – 2006 he was Managing Director of McCann Erickson Advertising Brisbane. In that time, McCann Erickson Brisbane was voted Campaign brief Magazine “Hottest Agency in Brisbane 2003 - 2005” and was an Agency of the year finalist 2003 - 2005. His experience includes time spent working in London and Sydney and has spanned many categories including Youth marketing, Charitable organisations, Financial services, and healthcare
Along with his business experience Simon served on the Board of The Princess Alexandra Research and Development Foundation from 2000 – 2006, and was Vice Chairman 2005 – 2006. He resigned this position to take on the added responsibilities of Youngcare.
