of course yes!! Meta Title changes more affected to your ranking. Mostly ranking goes down after changing the title.
But In some exceptional cases, affection is also in good way and ranking going up.

First of all, metadata play a more important role in SEO. use Main targeted keywords in the title is the most important rule in SEO. SO if your current title is not proper or there is no targeted keyword is used then after changing the title is hopefully better to get the best ranking.
