Default Hiring Sales Reps

Hi, I am new to the forums, but have been in the marketing/advertising arena for several years.

I am about to make the jump and start me own advertising business. My issue is that I know the biz very well and am good at what I do, however I am not a salesman.

I intend to hire a few independent contractors to work 100% commission. I know these type of people are out there, I am just having trouble finding them.

Does anybody have any experience with hiring like this and has anybody successfuly started a new advertising business and went straight to hiring reps?

I see a lot of ads for these types of opportunities on classified sites and personally think you're going to get a low response rate as people are rather skeptical these days and need money to pay bills so can't risk speculating.

I'd recommend giving some sort of low base pay and adjust commission accordingly. Maybe do a trial basis where they work just off commission initially so you don't waste your time with crappy reps but then offer some sort of base pay otherwise going to be hard in my opinion.

I would recommend to give these people some kind of a referral code, which when presented to you by a customer means that the supposed advertiser has done his/hers job.

I could be up for a job like that, I bet I can find you customers online. Contact me with details on what is you business, where you operate, website (if available).

I've used Indeed.com, they are wayyy better than Craigslist. More qualified people too.
