Default New Article - Hide And Speak: Recovering From A Social Media Disaster

Authored by: Jennifer Laycock

A Snippet:

The challenge left to me at the end of part six of this series was how to gracefully recover from a social media attack that left Bento Yum (and me) reeling. Standing up and walking back in the door when you feel like you've been tossed out on your rear can be difficult, but it's all part of community life on the Internet.

Glad to see it all worked out in the end. I like how you kept to your guns, even when others wanted to attack and make you appear to be contradicting yourself.

It's a delicate line between marketing one's business online and providing free, valuable content. When I first started out online, I had my hand slapped a few times myself for being overly aggressive with the whole marketing aspect. Today, I am a bit too kicked back and your post reminded me it's time to tighten up the notch so to speak.
