Red face Help & Advice Needed Please - Payment Options

hi guys first i'd like to say great forum!!
i have a little problem i need some help with.

i purchased a domain and hosting and they supplied cpanel & oscommerce but they have a installation problem. i installed oscommerce 7 times and each time when i login to admin i get blank pages(after ages looking at forums and doing whatever they suggested to get it running & i emailed the guy i bought the hosting from and no replies i decided to give up on that opion.) So i'm working with no shopping cart software atm...

SOO i'm thinking outside the box. i am going to build a webpage the old fashioned way and integrate paypal into it. which is fine i got all that under control BUT... i'd like to be able to accept bank deposit also. with the paypal checkout system all items go into a cart and go straight paypal checkout. so unless my customers buy one item at a time (which is annoying for them and unprofessional) i'm not sure how to go about adding the option to pay via bank deposit at the checkout process.

i dont know how to install other shopping cart software onto my host other then through cpanel and fatastico so i'm not sure maybe a script i put into my pages? i dont know if a new install of another shopping cart will clash with whats already there ie: cpanel and fantastico? whatever you can offer will be muchly appreciated... i've been messing around with this for over 3 weeks i just want the site up and running already its diving me loco

when it comes owning my own domain i am new to this soo all the programing is a little hard to get my head around especially if my host hasn't set up programs/installs properly

any help will be really appreciated.
thanks

Paypal has the bank option - that's one of their main offers. They take money from one (sender's) account and send it to the receiver.

I have never used one of those installed carts, especially open source, but usually you should be able to download the source code and then put your colors into the cart and if you are good with coding, you could change more things around.

Hosting is usually just that - hosting. Anything else usually requires a lot more support and most people cannot afford that. The carts though have their own forum where others will provide you support as needed (and usually at no cost).

With the logging in part - did you run the set-up page and set up the mysql database? Did you create the mysql database via the hosting control panel?

I answered this on another forum.

Your present host should not have contraol of your domain name. I won't go through the whole thing again here, but you got several good replies there.

Have you considered building the site with joomla and using virtuemart for the shopping cart?
