Default Are Click Exchanges Really Worth It?

I've signed up on one of those sites where you get credits for clicking through ads. You use those credits for impressions on your own ads. Are these really worth it? So far this morning, I've had about 60 people on my site coming from that ad, and all of them hit my main page and immediately leave. I get the feeling that they're just like me, simply clicking through the ads and not really interested.

I think you are correct with what you have concluded. The visitor isn't qualified based on an interest in your site/product/offer - they are visiting to exchange clicks with you and others. Waste of time for everyone.

Read some of the forum threads here about other ways to target qualified visitors.

It's not quality traffic if you only exchange clicks. Try to find related site where you can get links pointing to your site. This might give you quality traffic.

I agree with what everyone has said above. You've got to look at it from the standpoint of what you really want. If you're paying for clicks then that must mean you just want clicks. But obviously clicks don't mean business, so that makes clicks useless. What you want is your target audience and find a way to drive them to the site.

To spread website is a hard process. I think this way is not suitable for your web. You'd better change another method. Such as find a professional site which is closed related to your products. Pay more attention to this forum, maybe you will find what you want.

I never tried the swap clickthrough sites because it didn't make sense to me.

I knew I would only be clikcing to get others to click sooooo..... I figured that wouldn't be targeted traffic, but it definitely is increased traffic.

Try building traffic with links to your site. It takes time but the people who click through WANT to click through.

same old business principles. Understand your target market and place your marketing there.

I have tried these sites as well and haven't had a lot of success. You really need to attract the visitor and keep them there with your product or materials. A lot times folks just are clicking through and don't stay. Unfortunately, I haven't found any great sites to recommend. If you come across any, please let me know and I will do the same.
