Default Ebay Partner Network, Frustrating Rejection

Hello,

I read a lot about how to get accepted into this tough program. I put together what I felt was a quality site that complied with all of their basic requirements. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I am really trying hard to get accepted, but after two rejections I am wondering if I should be seeking an alternative.

Thanks in advance, Nick

If you think that your site is already a "quality site" according to their requirements, my suggestion will be to continue building the site in terms of getting more traffic to the site.

Meanwhile, you can try other affiliate programs or networks such as Amazon, ShareASale or CJ. If you really want to join EPN, you can always submit another application with the stats of your affiliate sites attached and I'm sure that if it is an impressive one, you will be accepted.

Did they give any reason for rejection, did you ask why?

You should consider AffiliateJump or any of these networks:

Clickbank
Rocket Profit
MaxBounty
Hydra Network

I personally use these networks and can say that the affiliate managers are available to you, and answer your questions. AffiliateJump goes one-step further by providing you with video training and a full support network. They are designed from the ground up for beginning affiliates who may need to learn the ropes before moving up to the other networks.

Another good one is Commission Junction, but being approved for individual campaigns can be a pain.

Ebay Partnership program has changed their rules a few months back. Now, there's a code your have to verify, etc.

However, there is a work around. If you go to Hubpages and look on their forum. Do a search for eBay partnership set up. If you don't have a Hubpages account, get one.

They have a whole set of instructions on how to set up your eBay partnership program via Hubpages, verification code and everything. It worked for me.

I believe the reason why eBay went this route was because too many newbie marketers were doing PPC campaigns with eBay's name in it. That's trademark infringement.

Can you imagine going onto Google and getting ten ads in a row all from eBay? That might freak out the web surfer which would in turn freak out Google which would in turn freak out eBay.

So I can kind of see why eBay would accept article venues like Hubpages or Squidoo. Seems safer.

Yeah, um! -- try dropping the nutty professor title, and re-label this site according to its due brilliance theme.

Like, very quickly thought of -- "What's in a score!"

I like your imagination, but you need to tighten your theme a bit!

If Ebay doesn't score well, then take you talents to Affiliate Marketing -- nice!

One word... SQUIDOO. Go there, build a great lens. It must be UNIQUE THOUGH -- do not copy and paste content in the lens or else it won't work.

Apply to eBay and let them know you're a squidoo lensmaster and plan on building many niche lenses and you want to gain access to their rss feeds for better control of revenue. Provide them with the url to your lensmaster's page as your domain url.

I have yet to hear of anyone being denied that has tried this. Squidoo and eBay have a very close relationship, which is why many people do this when everything else fails.

Do you have some traffic? How old is your site? Is it specialized?

Greetings, Mo

I am using eBay Partner Network, but the UK department turned me down, so I can "only" sell from all the others. This is quite frustrating, and I've asked them twice to reconsider, but they don't even answer. Arrogant b.... well...

I have heard, thought, that if you're turned down, it's of no use to try to ask again with the same e-mail or even written from the same computer.

So before you go ahead and try some of the tips from this thread (Squidoo, HubPages), make sure you use another computer, preferably with another IP number, and with another e-mail address.

Hi mickeyy, I to have been denied by the almight EPN. You mentioned using Squidoo. Do you have an example of a lens that you could get accepted into the EPN? What modules do you include in you lens? Any more details would be great. Thanks
