Default Social Media & Automation

My names William Tha Great, here from Houston, Texas.

Everyday that passes more people get involved with automation. I'm starting to hear more and more positive reviews about automation products for Social Media. Currently I use no automation services, because I don't know what type of effect it would have on my following. Automation just feels like a easier way to get by to me. I'm sure everyone doesn't agree with my logic.

If you use automation what are your reasons? Have you seen positive benefits or have things gone down for the worst?

Have any of you heard about services like buffer?

Hope to hear your thoughts.

God bless,
William Veasley

Hi William,

There is alot of debate about social media automation. Some people are adamantly against it, others swear by it.

I personally use a mix of automation, and just doing it the good old fashioned way. You just have to figure out what works for you.

For example, one of my rules is to not use automation to get my blog posts on my Facebook page. Given the nature of Facebook, I like to ask questions to go with my posts, or create a message that will hopefully get some discussion going.

In terms of tools, Hootsuite is awesome for managing your Twitter account. You can schedule posts, keep track of lists and have save searches. Very useful!

Hope that helps

I believe Martina has a point. Complete automation is definitely wrong in social media. You can't establish connections based on software automation, even if such tools exist. "The old fashioned way" is actually adequate, true and... authentic, and this is basically all that matters, even if it takes more time and effort.

Totally agree with you Lloyd! Automation can help for certain tasks, but you can't use it to foster those connections and build relationships. And that is the whole point of social media, and the key to success after all. Contrary to how some people try to use it
