Technically a new question but in your newsletters do you keep the tone like an actual letter or more like we're having a sale etc. I mean do you make it sound personal or impersonal, which works better? At least for you anyway?

Personal, absolutely!

As I wrote elsewhere, I've made friends amongst my subscribers, and sometimes they write to me: Are you writing this to me only, or to all of your list?

If you want to relate to people, be personal. Some will not like it and leave.

Funny thing: On one and the same day, I got two letters from two different people. One of them unsubscribed and wrote that he hadn't signed up to hear about my dogs. The other one thanked me for telling personal things as for instance about my dogs.

You cannot please everyone, so please yourself.

Personal emails works best for me, because I like being personal. If you prefer the sales letter style, then that will work better for you.

Default Text is good, but a hybrid email broadcsst using eSimply.com is better.

Try using eSimply.com. It will take you existing PDF or DOC/DOCX and automatically make a text version and perfect graphical version or your email. All of your existing links will still work. This is by far the best PDF to html converter available. It's absolutely free to try too... I believe the first 1000 emails are free.
