okay, so now how do you:
"copy the code from the 'Your AdSense code' box and paste it into the HTML source of your site"?

oh boy...

It is usually pretty easy depending on your location.

Once you sign into the site, they will ask you a few questions, like color, size, style. And then they give you the HTML code to insert into your website.

How are you creating your website?

Americountry ... take a deep breath ... its really easy to be an adsense publisher!

Copy/paste to your website is simple if you update your own site, if you don't just have whoever does add it for you.

Yes you copy and paste the code wherever you want the ads to appear on your website

Americountry,
I was reading another one of your posts where you stated that your nephew helped you out with designing your website. Ask him about the adsense code, I'm sure he'll know exactly where to put it. For a newbie, like me, it was a lot of trial and error to get the right code, the right ad and the right location. It would have been a fraction of the time if someone was showing me how it works. IMHO...

As far as your initial question, as to how hard is it to be accepted?

Well you do have to be able to fog a mirror when it's held in front of you.
