Default Accuracy Of Google Adsense

My Hosting site makes available to me a tool called AWSTATS. Its reports of how many visitors I get is very different from that I get from Google Adsense. Has other people discovered this?

Sure, it is common. AWSTATS is likely reporting activity that is not recognized by adsense. For example search engine robots, usually can really skew things.

Have you considered running google analytics which you can tie together with adsense. That is helpful to get a cleaner view of your site's activity with adsense.

I believe Awstats show all you traffic from bots and crawlers. Adsense doesn't show that traffic. If you haven't already you should do like Logan says and use Google Analytics. That great way to accurately track visitors that come to your site.
