No matter what type of site you have you need to devote some resources to SEO. SEO can get you organic listings. When you're at the top of the search engine results, due to SEO, then you don't have as great a need for PPC advertising. SEO can help your site get consistent traffic, unlike PPC ads which see traffic end when the ads end.
There is a better return on investment with SEO. When people perform a Google search and find your site they are actually looking for what you have to provide for them.
Proper SEO will help your site stand out from the rest. There are millions of websites out there and using SEO tactics will help you define your company and make your brand stand out among all the others.

Hi guys,

SEO is best. PPC is a part of SEO. PPC is paid and cost effective, so everybody cannot afford this. But SEO give you reliable and long life result. It is little bit slow than PPC, but more effective.

Thanks in advance

Both are good but if I had to say which is better? SEO.

But SEO takes time. So since you've got a new site, I'd suggest supplementing your traffic with PPC early on as you wait for some of your SEO work to pay off.

Do both. PPC at the start of business until you get ranked for SEO. This will help you to survive in online market.

PPC is for short term gains
SEO is for long term gains

If you do SEO well, you can rank top and get a constant flow of traffic, effectively for free every day.

The success of PPC will always be proportional to how much you pay each day.

There is no comparison in these two marketing channel. It is depending upon industry you are promoting.

Lets say, if you are having ecommerce website, i would follow below plan:
  • For first 6 months, i will invest 70% in PPC and 30% in SEO
  • For next 6 Months, i will descrese budget in PPC and increase in SEO
  • after that, i will analyze ROI and accordingly invest in particular channel
Both are equally important for any business but one have to invest wisely.

I could not have said it any better. I think both are important, but proper seo can be much more beneficial and cost effective in the long run.
