Direct email marketing will never go off in simple. Direct mail is an effective marketing tool. Please follow the email marketing procedure.

One of the best marketing vehicles that remain as powerful as ever is direct mail because of the way that it personally connects you to your potential customer. A well-developed direct mail campaign can create brand awareness and generate sales.

You can think about all the strategies around, but if you don't get your target customer excited about your offer, no one will come.

So start planning first about the content. Find tips online and don't forget to track results.

Default Great Tool for Keeping Addresses

Hey Everyone,

I think direct mail is still a completely viable option for marketing, if it is not too timely or costly.

As an owner of a small business, I use a great online tool to keep track of all my addresses and print them on a word document.

One of the issues I ran into while doing direct mail was getting my brochures / mail to look professional. I went to a local print shop and they were going to charge me a ton to make it, as a small business I did not have that kind of money to toss around for advertising.

This website helps make labels easily printable and saved me a bunch of time messing around with Word. It helped me out a ton so I thought I'd recommend them to other people.

Yes, direct mail is still very useful for marketing. I still help some of my clients use it for a portion of their marketing, so I can guarantee you it DOES work.

Even in the digital age (perhaps "especially" in the digital age?) where it's way cheaper to blast out 100,000 emails, a physical piece of correspondence can be far more personal, and takes more effort for the recipient to throw in the trash.

Of course you still need to follow time tested, best practices with direct mail. The hardest part being, getting people to actually read your message. So it needs to be useful, and not "junk mail."

Which format you use depends a lot on what you're selling...

For example:
If you run a local service company (landscaping, handyman,trash removal, etc.) a postcard mailer could be all you need to get a good number of responses / leads.

If you're selling a physical product, or more expensive service, then a nice 3 to 5 piece mailer often works well (main sales letter, secondary piece, lift note, return envelope, etc.)
Just remember; getting people to open it is the hard part. So unless you have some brilliant "teaser copy" on your envelope, you're better off making it look like a personal letter.

This reply is getting a bit long, so I'll give you just one more before I go...

If you're selling a more high end product or service; then a FEDEX package (or private courier) is the way to go. A lot of postal mail gets thrown in the trash, but a FEDEX package almost always gets opened by the person it's addressed to
