All of the following assumes that you haven't "upgraded" to Vista from XP:
Re: Wireless; did you check to make sure the physical switch is in the "on" position? On many laptops, the wireless switch is located right by the display open latch, on the front edge of the computer. It's pretty easy to accidentally switch your wireless "off" while opening the laptop's display.
Re: Wired; it is possible (for both issues) that your bridge software has become corrupt for some unknowable reason. Using your Control Panel (logged in as an admin), go to your Network and delete the network bridge in there, then go to Hardware => Device Manager and delete the Intel Pro wireless in there, then reboot. Windows will reinstall the software it needs (the bridge and the wireless). The bridge repair should get your wired connection working, and the wireless should be refreshed, as well ... but check to make sure that the wireless switch that I mentioned is turned "on", too.
