Default "Is Firefox Really Better?"

The thirty day challenge recommends that we use Firefox as a browser.

I have always used Explorer. I am very comfortable with this browser and am hesitant to switch browsers, unless there is some real benefit in doing so. Can anyone provide a review on Firefox, and let me know if it's worth switching to?

the technical aspect of the browsers i really don't know, but i prefer mozilla rather than IE.
Its very user friendly and most of the addons are available for firefox.

Default Firefox is better for IT Work

My company is an Outdoor Wireless Integrator and we have to use an http:// interface to program our radios systems. We work with a multitude of manufactures equipment. We have had lots of problems with IE because of the constant security updates that occur with IE. Firefox always works regardless of the web interface a manufacture might use.

In most all IT applications I have work with I have found that Firefox works better. Plus they support a lot of third party applications.

I do not think that there is much difference between Firefox and IE now except in terms of add-ons. In the past it was the tab browsing that was the biggest difference but now this advantage has been wiped off.

Well, I used to try all of them, and then decided Mozilla works better for me, many reasons for that and definitely far better that Explorer

I like FireFox the best. But it sure isn't what it used to be. It now too has many problems with crashes and high CPU usage.

Firefox has a lot more plugins to help you to do website development, validate pages, monitor file request speeds and perform search engine optimisation.

I personally use chrome for my normal browsing (very fast) and switch to Firefox or IE when required. If you develop websites you should at least test them in Firefox and IE.

Well, it's easy. Internet Explorer is a very old browser with not much novelty, besides tabbed browsing many years after Opera made it.

It doesn't comply to the standard, people have agreed to. MS makes up their own rules.

But all that being said, it seems that the Thirty Day Challenge recommends Firefox because of the plugins, so if you are going to follow it, you must use Firefox.

Changing habits are btw good for the brains.
