Default Cant Decide On Packaging

Hi everyone,

I am looking to develop a body product of sorts and have found my packaging however it has occurred to me that shipping Jars of my product might become a bit expensive.

I have considered packaging my product in stand up pouches however I feel as though my product might come across as a frank body copy cat (which is not what I am looking for) however the use of stand up pouches would obviously cost a lot less postage wise.

I am not quite sure which route I want to go, i feel as though the stand up pouches would be cheaper for the consumer which of course makes it more assessable to everyone but packaging my product in a jar takes it to the next level

I have considered having both as an option (the stand up pouch being sold as a refill option) however when I thought about it I realise that people will always go for the cheap alternative which would be the stand up pouches so then there would be no use for the jars.

What are your thoughts?

Since you are just starting, you can opt for less expensive alternative to get the volumes, and then do some testing with more advanced packaging options for the upscale products.

In any case, do not forget to put noticeable branding on your packaging - will help your marketing efforts as your customer will show it to their friends.
