Default New Article - Microsoft Going After Google

Authored by: Jim Hedger

Full Text: http://www.searchengineguide.com/hedger/007448.html

A Snippet:

For Microsoft, the month of May has come in like a triumphant lion. When you are used to being the king of the pride, nothing says success like taking big chunks of business from the competition and over the past few days, Microsoft has scored big gains in its fight against Google.

I can see why people think MS is on it's way down, but I don't really agree. I don't think too many people are excited about Vista and Office 2007. XP and the current Office version work fine. The only real hope they have is the Xbox. But one thing you've got to keep in mind is that MS has a boat load of cash and will continue to make money. At $23 a share...I'm buying.

Responding to competition is what MS is doing and frankly, I think they are doing great. They are monitoring what people like, innovating the ideas and developing their own. Shouldn't we all learn from these lessons?

I've recently boarded the "Microsoft Across America" RV/Bus/truck and they have some POWERFUL and affordable tools coming out for small business. I think those people who "think MS is on it's way down" should sit back, relax and enjoy the new products that are coming out. I personally think that they have much more to offer and will surprise even the most passionate detractor in the years to come.

The article opens with "Bill Gates is worried..." and I disagree, I think MS Corp is observing and finding new and innovative ways to remain the world software leader and I admire that.

Yeah, this is kind of a "go Bill" post but then what's a discussion without differing opinions... right?
