Default How to Price Your eBook

This article gives you info on how to price your ebook.

"Choosing the right price for your ebook is one of the most critical parts of the marketing process. The first rule of pricing ebooks is to never underprice. Determine the highest price your audience can afford, and then if you find your book isn't selling, you can always reduce the price."

Scott Rauber and I had this conversation a while back. But he took the opposite approach. Sell it cheaply and get feedback from early purchasers. Raise prices as demand and quality or content grows.
Why miss sales on the first few folks who find you? Why charge a high price on an ebook that may need more refinement or may become more beneficial with each edit? Let the market forces tell you when to stop raising prices.

Other ebook authors seem to have taken another approach. "You paid $99 for my ebook, that I now sell for $49. Special Offer: Come join my forums and discuss my book contents and get new info and upgrades free for life." - Oh and when you join you will find a few other products the author would like to sell you.
