You have to look at html code. View source in browser and then do a search (ctrl+f) for [nofollow]. If the link includes the nofollow tag in the html then it is. If it does not then it is considered dofollow.

Curious as to why? But is there a "powered by drupal" or some other common text on their sites. If not visible on the page, is there something in the html code you can check that is common to drupal sites.

I really think the dofollow tag is a good idea for your blog as long as you moderate the comments always.

I have come across of blogs who do allow any comment and believe me that is not what you want. blogs with thousends of comments with so much spam unbelievable.

Anyway hope more people will make there blogs doffollow and just pick the good comments.

If you have a Wordpress blog you can remove the nofollow by installing a plugin called nofollow free. Just search for it from inside the Wordpress dashboard under the install new plugin section.

We all want inbound links, however most sites are "nofollow" for comments. We want them, but we are not giving them.

What do fellow bloggers think of this. Would you make your comments "dofollow" or do you think "nofollow" is better?
.
Of course give some love and it will come back to you.

Personally, if you have nofollow I am three times less likely to bother commenting on your blog. Seriously.

when you do not follow, the search engines will not follow and not link to your site. Look for high traffic sites and give good comments, do not spam them with your business opportunity or you will go into the spam complain, but nobody will block you when you give nice replays, they will come to your site to see who you are, and that will with the time generate massive traffic to your site. But also do not ly, lies can easy be catches.

Well, I have a question about the 'dofollow'... will it decrease the relevance of any links in your post? or even the relevance of your blog?

like if you blog about soup, and someone comments on ur blog with a link to their blog about soup. will search engines recognize that its a link in the comments, or will it leak some of the relevance to their link?

That depends on many factors, it can be of quality content + the amount of traffic your blog has & the relevancy of the comment. That being you need to keep all these in mind when approving a dofollow comment.
