Linkedin is quite formal since it is focused more on work and business contacts. If your business regularly deals with other businesses then a detailed profile here will usually give a good impression to prospective clients. This is also a great place to prospect for new sales leads.

Facebook is top social media site for business. We can never ignore the importance of others like twitter, linkedin but facebook is much effective because it is more popular among the common users.

Default Instagram works, too!

I agree that Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin work really well. I also find that companies are jumping onto Instagram and posting images of their business to get themselves out there to interact customers and followers. Instagram is very image heavy with a simple caption much like Facebook used to be, but the way the app is designed allows one to go through an image one at a time, so people are bound to come across the post.

Facebook is good as well, but there's a lot more content on news feeds that posts often get lost. With Instagram one can really show what their company, retail store, and brand are all about. Taking images of the people who work there or even people posing with merchandise tells a story the customer can really understand.

I wrote a blog about using social media for small business retailers at

Hope this helps!

Agree that :
# Twitter.
# Instagram.
# Linkedin.
# Facebook.
# Google +.
# Pinterest.
# Yelp or foursquare.
# you tube.

Are your staples, worth using daily. You should look at getting a scheduler, like hoot suite. You can sync all of your posts to go out automatically, making your day job a lot easier. Worth looking into.

The top three social sites are definitely, Facebook, twitter and linkedIn. If you wanna target more of female visitors then Pinterest is the ideal choice.
