I think the information inside your website is not good enough to attract customers.

I agree with Emma. Another reason would be they didn't have the decision yet to purchase the product or service. Give them time. At least it's already a prospect.

Next in line would be: are you using the best keywords? Are these keywords have the enough monthly searches?

If you are good ranking means your website is having quality content and optimized properly.

If you are not getting enquiry then either your target market is wrong or the techniques, which are used to promote the website or product are not helpful and need to be changed.

Check out your competitor backlinks, types of submissions are done, target your market audience properly.

Hi John,

It could be a few things:

1. Calls To Action
Are these clear and obvious

2. Landing Page Structure
Only the top part of a web page is seen when someone views your website. This has a few seconds to grab a visitors attention and get the to want to stay, read more, make an order, make an inquiry or whatever the prime motive of your website is.

3. Time On Site
Do you have Google Analytics on your website? If not it is free. It will tell you how long people are staying (known as Bounce Rate) and if they're staying, where on your website they're going.

4. Right Target Market
Are you attracting the right people (target market), in terms of both your product/service and your location (if relevant). Again Google Analytics will help identify some of this information.

Regards,
David.

Hi John

If you are getting the vibe that people want what you are selling but are not buying, I think the one of the biggest deciding factures for no sales is...lack of trust.
  • People need to believe that you can deliver what you say you can
  • Make sure the quality of your offerings is as good as it can be
  • Have testimonials of happy customers on your site always helps
  • Maybe you can offer something to your site visitors for free
  • Do you have security seals and SSL for your site?
  • Offer money back guarantees
  • Visit competitor websites - what are they doing that you are not?
  • Have a definite 'Call To Action' - make them a genuine offer and tell them how they can respond to that offer. Lack of a proper 'Call To Action' is one of the biggest easily fixed visitor to customer conversion problems.
  • Get feedback - let them tell you what they think and what they need - ignoring your potential clients can be hazardous to business help

Hope that helps

Ben

devsemporium77 has got the right answer here, you need to structure your site content and site itself effectively, just have a peek at your bounce rate, if its more than 70 percent then your visitors are probably not getting what they are looking for from your website.

Do you mean your top competitive keywords are in first page of Google? If yes, then you should get good number of enquiries. I would recommend you to opt for paid advertising too i.e. PPC as well as Social Media Ads to get quick enquiries. Just do a little bit of homework about your competitor backlinks.
