I did. I enjoyed it very much. I thought they did a great job of bringing the audience right up to the beginning of Episode IV. It was major flashback time.
If you enjoy star wars, I think you'll enjoy this movie. Just remember that it's sci-fi - not going for oscars with acting or anything. Have fun with it!

I love Star Wars, so I am excited about seeing it when the mania dies down a bit and theaters aren't so crowded.

I have already seen it twice. I loved it. I would recomend that parents see it first before taking kids. I enjoyed the actioin and the humor, but the best part was the emotion. This is the best George Lucas has done on showing raw emotion. Anyway I would suggest that everyone see it. Its a great movie.

Saw it last Friday...it was ok. Not as good as any of the originals, and ranking slightly behind episode 1 in my mind. (But much better than episode 2).
It was cool to see the process that led Anikan to become Darth Vader. Though I actually didn't feel like the emotional side of things was played out that much. The movie was long, but felt really short.
I will say that being a birth junkie, the birth scene irked me something awful. Not to mention the fact that one day Natalie Portman is RUNNING around in a mini-skirt and the next day she is giving birth to what appear to be 9 or 10 pound twins. Yeah. Uh huh.

Yeah I liked starwars 3, 4, 5 and 6 but 1 and 2 wernt all that great. I think 1 and 2 relied too much on good graphics to dazzle the audience while 3, 4, 5 and six had a good story line

Dialogue is King
In general I agree with you, but I'll take it a step further. 3 had a good story line, but like 1 and 2 it lacked what truly drove 4, 5, and 6: great dialogue. The original movies were filled with imminently-quotable, witty, entertaining dialogue.
With the exception of "Winged Migration," you can't have a good movie without great dialogue.

[disclaimer: being the Stars Wars nuts that we are, we own all 6 despite our misgivings about the new ones]

I, of course, totally loved it. I saw it twice at the theaters and we now have it on DVD so I can watch it another zillion times.
www.GalacticFrontier.com hmmmmm.... do we have another great epic in the making?

Yes, and Maybe
Well, I guarantee that the Galactic Frontier series will be a great science-fiction epic, but I don't guarantee they'll be made into a multi-billion-dollar movie franchise.
