Default New Article - How Much Will It Cost To Get More Traffic To My Website?

A Snippet:

A good marketer will evaluate your online venture holistically and then allocate finite resources to those tactics that will have the most impact toward an agreed upon end. Just know that the "end" does not suddenly arrive one day like a freight train roaring through your home office.

Marketing is what you do to drive revenue and profits. It's an investment in the future of your business. It keeps the pipeline full and people wanting more. Marketing doesn't "cost" money; it "makes" money.
I got two words for that: Giggity Giggity (said in my best Quagmire voice!)

That statement there is just so true. Too many people see marketing as a cost rather than an investment. The thing about investments, they always cost more up front than what you'll get in return, but a good investment will bring the return in time.

Excellent article Karri!

I think maybe s/he is referring to the learning curve is you don't know how to go about marketing correctly. It will probably cost you a lot of money. Not every investment turns out to be a good idea.

Hello.

This is so basic that I'm almost embarrassed to reply, but here goes:

Start small and grow from there. Place as a challenge before you: How can I market my business for the least amount of money? Do not buy any automated software programs for link exchanges, ebook branding offers, affiliate marketing programs, et. al.

There is no cost for "sweat equity." For example, I had an idea for a blog; didn't know a thing about the Internet; thought about who my target audience was and what they might want to know/learn about; had no product to offer.

In 18 months, I have enjoyed visitors from around the world, 1000+ incoming links, recognition from publicists and journalists, but have made no money. That was not my goal. My goal was to figure out this Internet Marketing stuff.

I figured it out and launched my business service site last Monday. By Thursday I had two interested clients.

Is it worth 1 year of your time to develop and create a product/service that meets the needs of people?

That being said, this is my fourth business venture. My experience has been that it takes at least 9 months for lift off and 18 months to be running at full throttle.

The great illusion about the Internet is that things move fast just because we have information at our fingertips in seconds.

Online, offline, essential marketing practices are the same. Passion, commitment, faith (despite external obstacles,) the will to see something through.

Internal fortitude doesn't cost a dime.
