After 6 months of self education, web redesign, and diy seo, but no top 10 in Google; I got 1 of my places up on Google Local and "voila" a top of the page appearance for my search terms, even in a bold and better font! I couldn't and didn't have to pay for that kind of publicity.

Hi,

I'm new in the web game so please forgive me if this is a basic question. I've read elsewhere, as it states in the article, to create a blog to help with Google rankings. The article talks about "pinging." What does that mean and how do I make sure my blogs do that?

I'm in the midst of setting up my website for my mediation firm. I'll be using Google's Blogger to put a blog on my website. How do I know that it is "pinging" or is it automatic?

With regards to my company the google ranking has a noticeable effect on our business but over time we have built up enough traffic coming to our site through other routes.

I think this is massively important to be self sufficient and not to rely on google for your traffic.

Thanks for the ideas. I have heard of most of those things in your article but I have never heard of Google Base. I am going to check it out. I am always looking for another way to promote my business.

It is a nice reading.

One problem has puzzled me so long is I have no success to submit my google base feed in xml format to Google Product search engine.

Would anyone please share any experiences on this issue?
