Yes there are a lot of tools that have emerged for social media marketing. Although social media platforms are typically free, sometimes it takes a bit of an investment in time and/or tools to take it to the next level (a lot of big businesses have staff devoted to managing their programs).
Like Novumarketing said, it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish exactly. Are you looking to automate things? Then Hootsuite might be a good tool for you. Are you looking to add more apps to your Facebook page? Then North Social is good for that. There's also a company called Sprout Social that has a lot of cool tools for social media.
I have a collection of them on my site here if you want to review more:

Most of them have free trials to check them out before you buy anything. If you are not looking to invest in a tool, then time is the best investment you can make to help social media perform better for you... time and a good flow of content.
