How about Google Docs? They include a spreadsheet (that can produce charts and graphs), word processor, presentations and a drawing tool, which should get you through most basic business needs. Here's an overview from Google: http://support.google.com/docs/bin/a...n&answer=49008

I agree. There isn't a service much more complete that Google, from Analytics to track your website statistics to spreadsheets to adwords. They have it all. But if you're having too much trouble with it, I suggest you outsource it to someone who may have more experience than you.

I think you're making a huge mistake. Simple software like QuickBooks is really easy to set up and operate and it's not that expensive.

When I see 'so called' business people looking for free stuff to run their business, I can't help but ask myself 'who would spend money with YOU if you don't have the 'guts' to put money into running your own business?'.

Sorry if I am going on a 'rant' here, but come on.

While you're looking for free software, maybe you should set up a free website too. You know, they've got all the banners and ads that will really make somebody's business rock... but not yours.

If you can afford the software, don't start the business. You can't afford it. Take the money and buy bus fair to go to your job.

Hope this helps!

OpenOffice.org has free Office programs, similar to Microsoft. I would check those out before relying on Google products. The reason I say this is because Google is well known to shut down tools like this with little warning, whereas Open Office has been around for nearly a decade.
