Exactly what I was thinking.. Anyways.. As a freelancer there are a lot of management software you can use.

For time tracking, you could use: Time Doctor, Toggl or Chrometa to track your time spent in front/off of the computer. By tracking your time, you and the company both have a clear understanding of exactly what and how you’ve done a product/project.

For invoicing, you can use professional invoicing software : Freshbooks, Zoho Invoice, or Quickbooks Online. Which is important to remind the clients that their payment is due.

For customer relationship management, there's SugarCRM, FreeCRM, Highrise, etc.

And for project management, there's Microsoft Project (installed software) or Basecamp (cloud-based), among others.

"Management software" is kind of a broad category.
