Default PPC: If You Aren't Number One...You Still Get Customers...

Authored by: Jennifer Laycock

Full Text: http://www.searchengineguide.com/laycock/006041.html

A Snippet:

Many want to be able to run advertising campaigns, but feel that they can't justify the cost because their conversion rates don't result in a profit. This often happens because so many advertisers are still living with the false idea that they simply have to bid their site to the number one listing.

Default PPC...Positioning

Jenn, your article is great. We are in the middle of bringing up our first attempt at PPC on Google and Yahoo.....using the local and standard sponsored searches. There is a tremendous amount to learn.....the good thing is that it seems pretty easy to put something out there.....keep learning....monitoring....adjusting.....and hopefully succeeding.

Your article revised my thinking to shoot for 2nd or 3rd place instead of #1. We will also make sure we keep our budget pretty tight to start off.

We are really looking forward to this. This seems to be a good group....I will let you know how we get along.

Keep the articles coming...............
