Yeap and makes for a nice little stand too. I have this problem 2x because I buy my laptops from the US and they do plug into the 220v outlets here that cause heating problems and essentially just ruins the battery in my own experience. But a 30 dollar underneath cooling stand does the trick every time.

Can't afford that you say???? Well I notice a substaintial reduction in heat simply by placing some sort of object under the back of your lap top, thus elevating the battery (back of the LT) just a bit.
