It's fairly new but still, in three months nobody is adding me to there face book or twitter. How do I get more target consumers to add me to these websites??

Its fairly a simple task.
Making a good popular product is tough for anyone... but popularizing a popular product is a simple task. because it is already a popular one.

Similar wise, Know what product/service/data popular related to your business. post accordingly. Sure you will see the difference in the real followers.

For Ex: Growth Hacking is a new concept in internet marketing & SEO. If you post a blog related to growth hacking in your website, then it will be viewed and shared by many people.

Everyone wants more it's one of the most common. Social Media is used to build brand ambassadors, drive traffic, and convert sales. if you want to grow your website you will need to start treating it like a real business.

Good quality content is a key to success for me, especially, when it's posted regularly. You also shoud stay active all the time and react to all the comments and opinions quickly to let people know that you're trustworthy. Try to drive their engagement through asking them about something linked with your company or subject.

If you want to follow others, then youíre going to have to follow them. This is a simple rule of reciprocation that is common on all social media formats. So, instead of just uploading photos and expecting people to come to you, you also have to put yourself out there. In other words, you have to be active.

Search for users and brands that share your interests and comment, then like and share their photos. Follow Instagram stars and influencers and engage with them, or even ask for a shout-out. You could even look for tags containing tags like: #shoutout, #TagsForLikes, #ilovemyfollowers, and #follow.

This thread was started a while back and every answer I've seen points out to crafting high-quality content that's valuable and relevant. This is still true to this day but it's important to consistently give out valuable content. Participate in different discussions that are related to your industry to grow your network and organically gain followers

It will take time to gain followers that's why we need to establish first the profile by providing consistent interesting information in which will help them in many ways.

IMHO - it depends!

If you can generate some excitement with interesting, unique posts that link to real, authoritative content, then you might be able to get some action on Facebook.

I think what makes people yawn is the junky, me-too daily posts that so many marketers are doing these days.

One thing I am seeing with my own clients is success with video uploaded to Facebook. Not linked from Youtube - new, fresh videos uploaded directly to Facebook. The talking head variety 2 - 5 minutes every couple of days has done far better than any advertising.

If you have quality content with copyrights. You'll gain followers very fast. People like to see original content even if maybe is not so good as others but you are different than others and that's valuable.

i used to do advertising for small companies that advertised in FB and aside from the ads you find at the sides and in between post feed, they also promote the articles they have via sharing and promoting. It's kinda tricky getting things go viral (if that's your perception of good advertising) but we usually accomplish this using click baits like catchy titles and nice pictures. People are generally visual creatures so get creative with that.

There are few good ways for this mentioned below:

1) Be regular and consistent.
Part of social mediaís effectiveness is being able to keep your name and message in front of your followers. A post here and there a couple times of week will get lost in the millions of other posts. Further, whatever social media strategy you set up, you need to stick with as long as it works. There are many dormant Twitter accounts and Facebook fan pages. No wants to follow those.

2) Speak to your market.
People arenít that interesting in knowing what you had for breakfast, unless of course youíre a food blogger. When it comes to social media marketing, the goal is to keep your market informed about the topics related to your business. For example, most of the stuff I share on social media has to do with home business or telecommuting because thatís why people follow me.

3) Match the message and format to the proper network.
What works on Twitter, doesnít necessarily work on Linkedin.

Not only do the types of messages you send vary across networks, but frequency as well. You can post 10 to 15 Tweets a day and not bother anyone. However, 10-15 LinkedIn posts might appear obnoxious. Take the time to learn and study the social media networks you use and fit your posts to each.

4) Have your social media follow buttons everywhere you can.
This includes every page of your website (Iím surprised when I have to hunt down social media follow buttons on a website).

Your website isnít the only place to include links. Your social networks may allow links to other network profiles. Finally, include links to your social profiles in your email.

5) Follow influencers and share their content.
If you are knowledgeable and up-to-date in your business industry, you should know who the influencers are. Or you can use a resource such as Buzzsumo to find influencers in your topic area. Once you follow them, share their content with your followers. Many will follow back and share your content as well.

6) Remind your email subscribers about your social media accounts.
It doesnít hurt to promote your email list on your social media as well.

7) Respond to your followers.
One of my pet peeves is tagging or contacting a company through social media and never getting a response. Why bother having social media if youíre not going to be social? Respond to comments, questions or mentions made by your followers. Theyíll be offended if you donít.

8) Use hashtags where appropriate.
Twitter is the king of hashtags, which is helpful since the conversation moves at lightning speed. Hashtags help people find content on the topics that are of interest to them. Use of hashtags on other social media sites can be helpful, but donít overdo it.

Remember, people want to see real content.

9) Make it easy for others to share your content.
This seems like a no-brainer, but just the other day I was on a site that had no share links. Fortunately for them, I use Hootsuiteís Hootlet, but not everyone does. And most visitors arenít going to deal with the hassle of copying and pasting your URL to their social media. Make it easy for them to share your content by including social share links on your blog or website.

10) Use your stats to identify popular posts and topics. One of the biggest frustrations in social media is not knowing what will go viral and what wonít. The best rule of thumb is to post helpful, relevant content for your market. With that said, your social media and website stats can help you determine whatís popular.
