I always use simple Google search. I usually search for blogs list. In that way you will get more blogs. There is one site I use while search - http://www.blogcatalog.com/. Maybe that will help.

I typically use http://www.google.com/blogsearch. You're right it does take time. Another option, if you're looking for places to guest post is to use a service such as myblogguest.com.

Have you used Buzz Stream at all? This can be very helpful for your task...

Type what blogs you want to read in Google Blog Search. The more specific you are, the more likely you'll get exact results.

this is the one I use too. It is the best in my opinion. It is easy to use and I keep hearing good things about it - like here. :)

Do a google.com search using:

inurl:blog keyword

replace keyword with what your main keyword or niche is. So, for example, if you have a marketing business, to find related blogs, you would search using:

inurl:blog marketing

and if your main keyword or niche is 2 or more words, surround it with quotes to get the best results.

So using dog training as an example, you would search using:

inurl:blog "dog training"

hope that helps!
