Blogs Freezing Up

Am I the only person who has a problem with blogs freezing up. I have an e-blogger blog and I've learned that when I go to my page, not to scroll up or down for a minute cause it will move and then just freeze. Do I have too much content on the page or what? I dont know what the problem could be but I'm open to any suggestions, thanx!

For one - your background image is extremely large. Try removing it from the template and seeing how the site behaves.

Apart from removing the image, you can split the content into 2 or 3 pages. This will help too, and it will reduce the loading time.

It looks to big and to heavy. Maybe you could try to take smaller pictures and only 2-3 posts on main page - every older posts you can keep in your archive. You could try with smaller background ;)

Everyone is correct - it is the picture. You can try saving it in a different format like a low resolution .gif (right now it looks like its a .jpg) or save it as a .jog in photoshop and minimize the file size. That is if its important to have that picture.

All of your scripts look good and nothing that I can see should be slowing it down other than that.
