Let me ask you this... when trying to learn copywriting and SEO copywriting, would it be more helpful to you to learn from live coaching sessions or from books and ebooks?

I see both online so I'm just curious as to what the majority preference is.

Karon -
Good question.

I would have to say all of the copywriting expertise (don't laugh) I have garnered has come from e-books or hard copy books. I've never signed up for a coaching session, however I am now offering it (not for copywriting though - whew!)

So do you think it would be easier to learn with a mentor? I know some people are visual and would rather read something from a page (or monitor). Others learn better if they go step by step with feedback.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It's the great mystery in life in opinion.

I think people are people and the 80/20 rule applies in either case.

Offer both. That's what I'm doing. However before I go through with the coaching aspect I'm going to recommend that they read both of my e-books. And I don't mean that sugggestion just for financial gain - I mean it to help both of us out during the coaching.

I agree with Scott, both. I think the ebook can be good to cover basics/common factors where coaching can be more personalized. While coaching could also address what's covered in the ebook, its probably more efficient for all involved to cover that thru the ebook approach.

I would love to attend a personal coaching session on SEO or SEO writing. My problem is that people I would consider having a session with are probably too expensive for me!
